Writing a book has been a dream in the making for a long time until the perfect story idea came to me. I didn't want just any story but one my kids would really enjoy and relate to. After paying attention to the things they love the most, this story was formed. 

Two of their favorite things are pickleball and their papa. My dad is a good player and naturally taught my kids how to play.  Both my kids also ask daily if they can play. 

That is how my book, My Papa Plays Pickleball, was born. 

The book features my Dad teaching my son basic techniques of pickleball, so there is an educational component on the sport. It is also goofy and silly with Oliver's (the boy) antics of trying to hit the ball. 

I am hoping grandparents will be inspired to teach their grandkids / younger generation the game. Young kids will be inspired that they can learn it too! And that we can encourage and support young kids to overcome hard things (which Oliver does in the book).
